Pastor Ray Speck serves as Roanoke Valley Cathedral of Praise’s Outreach Minister. Ray was raised in New York on Long Island. He met his wife, Lorinda, in high school. They were married in 1977 and both came to know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior in 1978. Ray and Lorinda attended a small Church of God in Massapequa, New York. They both went through the Ministerial Internship Program for the Church of God. Upon completion, Ray was appointed the Assistant Pastor where he served for ten years. While in that capacity, he was involved in several ministries, including outreach to the homeless and nursing homes, neighborhood evangelism and also worked with the Boys Brigade. Lorinda was actively involved in the Ladies Ministries and later became the church/school secretary.

Ray and Lorinda raised two children, Adam and Salina. Their family relocated to the Roanoke Valley in 1994 and began attending Roanoke Valley Cathedral of Praise. Ray and Lorinda became active members of the church and Ray was appointed Outreach Minister in 1998, ministering to several nursing homes. Lorinda is a Sunday L.I.F.E. teacher and is active in the Children’s Ministry.
