Tim and Amy Young,
Audio/Visual Director and Minister of Music


Tim serves as Roanoke Valley Cathedral of Praise's Director of Audio/Visual Ministries and teaches the JGYM Sunday L.I.F.E. class.  Amy serves as Roanoke Valley Cathedral of Praise's Minister of Fine Arts and the Women's Ministry president.  Together they teach Club TNT 456 on Wednesday nights.

In high school, Amy sang in regional choirs and accompanied Salem High School Chorale. Amy was runner-up for the 1990 Virginia State Teen Talent in the female solo category. She attended Lee College (now Lee University) until spring of 1991 as a music education major, touring with Campus Choir and singing with Choral Union.

Tim also attended Lee College. Tim received his bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Radford University.  He is an IT manager with Advance Auto Parts.      
                      
Tim and Amy, both Church of God preachers' kids, married In July 1991. They joined Roanoke Valley Cathedral of Praise in 1992 and have been actively involved in ministry since.  Prior to their current roles in ministry, they were involved together in children's church and as JGYM youth staff.  Amy also taught the toddlers on Wednesday nights and sang on the praise and worship team.
                                                                          
In 1998, they were blessed with the birth of Sarah and blessed again in 2001 with the birth of Jacob. A weekly family fun/game night is priority.  Dinner around the coffee table while watching a movie and Mario Party 7 are family favorites.

Tim enjoys motorcycle riding, home improvement projects and riding 4-wheelers.  Amy enjoys reading and preparing new recipes, scrapbooking and collecting Donald Ducks.
